EXPERIENCE: Staff writer 6/2003 - 12/2007, The Daily Banner (part of Independent Newspapers Inc.), Cambridge, Maryland.
I actually began with The Daily Banner as a freelance writer in April of 2003. I have covered a variety of news and features. I was assigned to cover Dorchester County government. I still attend the meetings of the Dorchester County Council, therefore knowledgeable of county issues/features your publication may be able to use. I had also covered the meetings of the city council of Cambridge, MD.
Independent Newspapers Incorporated (INI) has not made much use of a staff photographer for the The Daily Banner, so staff writers not only had to take notes, but also take their own pictures. Therefore, along with my reporting and writing abilities, I have experience in taking photographs.
Other related experience: Served as an announcer, 2/1984 - 12/1989, He's Alive Radio, Inc.Grantsville, MD. Also did production.
EDUCATION: 6/1974 Northeast Bible College (now Valley Forge Christian College) -Green Lane (now at Phoenixville) PA. I received my Bachelor's Degree in 1976. The above date reflects the fact the school was not a college until 1975. I then took three more credits to earn the degree.
AFFILIATIONS: 12/2006 - Present, Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce.
