Founded 1991, Lightword provides publicity, promotion and other services for recommended works. The recommended books were submitted by the smaller publishers, and self-published authors whose noteworthy creations are generally overlooked by the mainstream media.

The Senior Editor/Owner, Bernie P. Nelson, has a thirty year plus background in publishing, writing, sales management, publicity, and promotions. Since 1991, he has launched effective book services and promotions. In 1984, Bernie was commissioned, by Governor Martha Layne Collins, a "Kentucky Colonel" for assisting university students with journalism and helping them to publish "The Eagle Bone Whistle."

In association with a California TV/radio production company, producing 500 shows since 1989, the Lightword Media Division is assisting in the promotion and production of TV and radio shows for clients.

Recently, Suite 101 has published Bernie's Environmental Articles. He has the knowledge to promote environmental products and organizations.
