I was born and raised in Champaign, Illinois. Currently I reside in Florida (see above). I hold a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and a Masters Degree in Business Management.
I work in our real estate company along with my husband. We have offices in Key West and Apalachicola, Florida. We have been in business since 1991 and have experience with the sales and development of large multifaceted properties that range from residential, to vacant land, to multifamily or attached/detached family units, to condominium complexes, to commercial structures that house restaurants, banks, or shops.
I am joint founder of the Apalachicola Yacht Club and hold the office of Secretary/Treasurer. I am a past member of the advisory board for the Boys and Girls Clubs, past volunteer rescue person for the Wildlife Rescue League, current volunteer for the Department of Emergency Management for Monroe County, past liaison for the Department of Community Affairs and the County/Local government of Monroe County/Key West, FL. for hurricane relief, current political activist and fundraiser.
Travels have taken me from Europe through the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, and across much of the United States.
I enjoy outdoor activities like sailing, waterskiing, hiking, bike riding, working out, and fishing as well as reading, music, theatre, playing with my two amusing pets (Abu Chez, my 9.5 year old Australian Blue Heeler and Zack, my six and a half year old yellow tabby cat) and writing.
"Three Years With Adonis" is the first to be published of several books that I have written. It is now available in all the better bookstores, but can also be found and ordered at Amazon.com, Booksamillion.com, Barnesandnoble.com, or ordered directly from my web site; www.MichelleMalsbury.com . In addition to "Three Years With Adonis", I have authored four other books, over one hundred articles available on www.useless-knowledge.com and www.AmericanChronicle.com , and three screenplays while continuing to explore all that life hands me.
I began my doctoral education with the University of Phoenix (spent one semester there before transferring to Nova) with concentration in Business, (since all of my other degrees are also in business management), but found my perfect fit with Nova's program (entering my second semester-Winter 2008) in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies. My hopes are to concentrate in the Peace end of this process and perhaps help people around the world to live in peace and harmony.
