A special message
from Agnes Grace ...
Hey there! I'm trying my hand as a freelance writer. I've been writing since my grade school days, even through high school, during college and even after graduating. I'm not really sure if that counts as experience. Haha. :)
I started as a prose writer and was quite famous among my classmates as a person who could write heart-wrenching fanfics. (Unfortunately though, I have lost my fanfics because my parents threw my papers away when they cleaned the house a decade ago. :P)
I am also one of the people they would call when it came the need to write yearbook testimonials. I think, I wrote two? Or was it three? Anyway, I think it's less than five.
During my senior year in highschool, my prose writing evolved to free-verse poetry. I'm not really enamored with rhymes (coz my rhyming sucks big time!). I'm just happy with the way that I can string simple words along and turn them into something with substance.
I've learned technical writing during my college days while doing various projects and an undergraduate thesis in BS Chemical Engineering.
Currently, I am hooked with blogging and making reviews - be it restaurant, book or rock band reviews, I can do them all. My only condition is that the reviews that I make are those things that please me. So if anyone would give me a freelance job writing such things, I would decline the job if I would not find myself fit to write them. I do not enjoy writing negative things mainly because people have their own tastes - what I may not enjoy might be loved by other people and it would be a shame if something would have bad reviews.
I've been a part-time English Instructor for Korean students from Nov 2006 - March 2007. So, I am a strict grammarian. (I even correct my English teachers' grammar back in grade school and high school!)
