Should I invoice someone else's Client direct? Fri, 02 May 2008 01:03:46 -0500
I have recently started working freelance and have a contact who is asking me to quote (and subsequently invoice) his Clients direct. As there is an end product to what I do and therefore a substantial cost involved, I would rather treat HIM as my Client and have him mark up my price and invoice his own Client. He's not happy about this. I have prior knowledge of my own Clients and am therefore in a position to judge what terms they should be on but when I refused to get involved with direct invoicing of his clients, he was surprised. It seems to me that he is asking me to take the financial risk with HIS Clients. Am I wrong?
